Mr Cheetham, I saw this picture on another blog and tracked you down. I sense that you are not the kind of painter who finds the word "beautiful" offensive, so I'll venture to say, beautiful work. This piece in particular looks to qualify you for that "New Masters" show you're soon to be in. As well as possible to judge from the electronic image, this is a master work. I doubt I'll make it to LA for the show, but I'll be telling some friends about it. And watching to see if you show in NYC. Much success to you, Tom

Rembrant and Vermeer were great portrait Artists and this self portrait of the Artist reminds me of a Vermeer with the lighting just right to set the mood of the Artist.
